The New Phase began as a quest for self renewal. It's the creative result and much needed release after moving to New York. It's what happened after ending the most meaningful relationship of my life. It's starting a new career while at the same time nearly loosing my mother to her fight with alcoholism and depression. It's about the end of battling housing brokers to the bitter end to avoid homelessness. I am finally treading water and am getting to the helm of own little journey and beginning to create the life that I have dreamed of since I was a little girl when I was making short films in the backyard of my parents home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Now fascinated by New York and all of the daily adventures that make up this mecca I have no choice but to share the stories that make this place such a feast of culture, oddities, inconvenience, and life lessons. What started as chaos, heartbreak and a fight for emotional survival is becoming more pleasantly infectious each day. I have learned to let go, to really live among the crazies, to be the crazies and let the freak flag fly. It's a new life,a new home,in New York. The New Phase
